Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina is making the most of her off-court time with her one-year-old daughter Skai before heading to the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Olympic bronze medalist looks forward to representing her country again at the quadrennial event.
Elina Svitolina made history as the first Ukrainian Olympian to win a tennis medal, claiming bronze by defeating Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The 29-year-old, currently ranked No. 30 in the world, is also a proud mother to Skai, born on October 15, 2022, with her husband, French tennis player Gael Monfils, whom she married in July 2021.
Before heading to the Paris Olympics, which will run from July 27 to August 4, Svitolina has been savoring family time. She shared a photo of herself and Skai enjoying the pool on Instagram on Saturday, July 20.

Elina Svitolina’s 2024 Wimbledon campaign ended with a quarterfinal loss to fourth seed Elena Rybakina. Despite having reached the semifinals in 2019 and 2023, Svitolina struggled against Rybakina’s power and precision, falling 6-3, 6-2. Prior to that, she had defeated Magda Linette, Jule Niemeier, Ons Jabeur, and Wang Xinyu in the earlier rounds.
