Novak Djokovic participation in Semi Finals in Doubt

Last night, for the fourth time in his career after 2008, 2012 and 2021, Novak Djokovic qualified for the semi-finals of the Olympic Games (a record) but the Serbian, winner of Stefanos Tsitsipas (6-3, 7- 6) had a big problem with his knee in the second round.

Trailing 4-0, he managed to get through it but did not hide his concern after the meeting with the press.

“I’m worried about the state of my knee to be honest. At the start of the second set, I felt a sudden pain that lasted several games. After that, anti-inflammatories helped. I can’t give you exact information because I don’t have it. I have to go and examine this with my physio and the tournament medical staff. We’ll see. I’m playing at 7 p.m. tomorrow which gives me a bit of time but hopefully I can be ready.

” I do not know what to say. The pain was really bad for two games when it happened. I don’t know if I slipped or what happened. It’s similar to Roland-Garros, where I managed to win the match only to discover that the injury was serious. I pray everything is ok”

The men’s singles halves: Carlos Alcaraz vs Felix Auger-Aliassime .Carlos Alcaraz already in the Finals after defeating Felix in straight sets

Novak Djokovic vs Lorenzo Musetti : Hope they both play and show us a wonderful Semi Finals match.

Something rare enough to be highlighted, Nole has always lost in the semi-finals until now and he only brought home a bronze medal from the Beijing Olympics. Declarations via L’EQUIPE and X/ozmo_sasa
