With Wimbledon only a few weeks away, the stars of the WTA Tour will have limited options to prepare for the only grass Grand Slam tournament of the season. Therefore, the Bad Homburg Open will serve as a warm-up event, scheduled to run from June 22-29, 2024, in Bad Homburg, Germany.
A WTA 500 event, the Bad Homburg Open will feature a lot of European talent hoping to add a grass court title to their resume. Reigning Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova is the top seed at the event, and the Czech star will be joined by compatriot Katerina Siniakova, the defending champion at Bad Homburg.
Two-time Grand Slam singles champion Victoria Azarenka is scheduled to compete at Bad Homburg. Joining her is hometown hero Angelique Kerber, who has three Major titles to her name. Former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki has been given a wildcard entry to the event. The Danish star retired in 2020 to start a family, but has since returned and is eager to pick up where she left off. Below is the full list of entrants:
1.Marketa Vondrousova (CZE)
2.Katerina Siniakova (CZE)
3.Victoria Azarenka (BLR)
4.Angelique Kerber (GER)
5.Caroline Wozniacki (DEN) (wildcard)
